Each election year, the Ashland Chamber hosts Candidate Forums. For 2026 we hosted forums for Ashland City Council, Ashland Parks Commission, Jackson County Commissioner, State Senator and State Representative. All candidates were invited to participate in the forums.

These forums are not open to the public, but are recorded at the RVTV studio and available through our website, YouTube Channel and on RVTV and through the RVTV app.

With the changes to Ashland's municipal elections and the large number of candidates running for the at-large positions, the candidates for City Council and Parks were interviewed one-on-one instead of engaging in a conversation with the candidate with whom they are running against as before. The videos are broken down by question, so you can see how each candidate answers the same question.

The Jackson County Commissioner, State Senator and State Representative were filmed as a discussion, like our forums before.

City and Parks candidates were given the questions 15 minutes in advance of their interview and the candidates for County Commissioner, State Senator and State Representative were given their questions a few days before filming.
