Abstract Expressions

This month's exhibition at Art & Soul Ashland includes watercolor paintings by Lynda Hoffman-Snodgrass. Incorporating swirls and flowing patterns with organic shapes that intertwine and overlap, Lynda's compositions are like a mesmerizing dance on paper. With her brushstrokes being both fluid and gestural, this allows her viewers to perceive a sense of motion and rhythm while encouraging imagination and contemplation.

Interactive Installation by Micah BlackLight

Currently featured at Fiber Arts Collective is an interactive installation by Micah BlackLight. Drawing parallels to the many cultures and subcultures that exist, viewers are encouraged to become curious and experience what transpires behind the scenes. Whether it is witnessing the techniques that Micah utilizes to draw a portrait in pen, or his patchwork approach on the sewing machine, viewers will have the opportunity to interact with Micah in ways that are typically not possible during the creation process.
