We love the work of Siskiyou Mountain Club. They are passionate about the trails in Southwest Oregon, and work hard to restore, maintain, and promote trails in the Siskiyou backcountry and beyond. Their knowledgeable crew will present their favorite trails for hiking and backpacking in Southwest Oregon on Thursday March 23rd from 7-8 pm at the GEOS Institute on 4th St in Ashland (across from the Unitarian Fellowship). You'll get the information you need to explore the Siskiyou Mountains, complete with itineraries, and inside information from Siskiyou Mountain Club staff members with 2+ decades of hard work and play in the Southwest Oregon backwoods. It's free and we promise you'll get inspired to start planning your summer backpacking trips!

Milkweed plugs
$3.95 each
A pollinator magnet!
Showy Milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) and Narrow-Leaf Milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis) are native to Southern Oregon. They are rhizomatous and need to be planted in clumps to make a nice stand of milkweed. For monarchs, it take 6 healthy plants to support a monarch caterpillar to get it to the next flying monarch stage.
Our milkweed is sold in plugs and can be placed directly into the ground. Plugs can be planted in the spring.
