Introducing Oregon Monarch & Pollinator Habitat Kits--Willamette Valley & Klamath-Siskiyou Regions
The Xerces Society is now offering habitat kits that contain native milkweed and pollinator-friendly wildflowers and shrubs at no cost to farmers and community partners in Oregon's Willamette Valley and the Klamath-Siskiyou region of SW Oregon.
This unique program offers climate-smart, native and regionally appropriate plant materials directly to project partners who are willing to provide the time, labor, and land to develop habitats that support monarchs and other pollinators.
Habitat Kit Details:
Qualifying projects: Working lands, public lands, tribal lands, community spaces. Not for residential/private homes.
Qualifying locations: Distinct regions in Oregon; the Willamette Valley and the Klamath-Siskiyou Region of SW OR
Special kit features: Supports monarch butterflies and other native pollinators, climate-smart selections
Project proposals: Open now – April 3, 2023
Kit pickup: October; date, time, and location TBD (Willamette Valley kit: tentative pick up in Corvallis, OR area; Klamath-Siskiyou Kit: tentative pick up in Medford, OR area)
