Borrowing the title of Marilyn French’s 1977 novel, The Women’s Room, which pushed back against the expectations of solely domestic and caretaking roles of women, in honoring women artists, the gallery is honoring artists who often hold many roles in their lives which may include caring for family, community, and home while being dedicated creators and makers that use humor, fantasy, poetry, intuition, and innovation in crafting their visions.

K.S. Wild
Mountains and Waters Walking on Canvas
This month's exhibition at K.S. Wild features landscape paintings by Dot Fisher-Smith. Pausing to become lost in the shapes and colors of nature budding around her, Dot is inspired by the innerscapes of the earth, water, and air. Allowing both surprise and spontaneity to take place, she believes that the most beautiful creations are formed as a result of allowing both to happen naturally.
