MOB 2019 Living in Ashland

Connections Matter. Libraries Connect Us.

Connections Matter. Libraries Connect Us. Your Gifts Make It Possible.

If there is one thing we have all learned from the past year-and-a-half, it’s that connections matter. Connecting with family and friends, connecting to the internet, and connecting to our community are critical to our daily lives.

Public funding provides the library with a stable financial base, but private donations from people like you help the Jackson County Library Foundation connect our community to even more resources. Gifts to JCLF help support the Jackson County Library system in connecting us all with innovative and creative new programming like:

The DART(Direct Access to Resources and Technology) Mobile Tech Van
This mobile tech solution bridges the digital divide in Jackson County offering services on-the-go, like Wi-Fi access, tablets, laptops, and even tutoring on how to use the technology.

An on-site social worker
This new position helps some of our most vulnerable community members find resources.  Patrons looking for employment, mental health services, food, shelter, or even social fulfillment through volunteering, are helped through this new program.

Rogue Reads
This program creates connection by encouraging everyone in Jackson County to read and discuss the same book. The inaugural Rogue Reads program featured books by bestselling author Jacqueline Woodson, culminating in a virtual author talk in February.

Baby’s First Book

Provides books to newborn babies and their parents to start them on the road to lifelong love of reading and learning.

Connections matter. Libraries connect us. Your gifts make it possible. Help support these and other connections today.
