ScienceWorks Celebrates 15th Birthday
ScienceWorks will celebrate its 15th Birthday on Saturday, December 9! Admission will be free for the day. The Museum will be open normal hours, from 10AM to 5PM; with Birthday Cake and Celebration at 1PM. The theme for the day is Bubbles, in recognition of Bubbleology, the most popular exhibit at ScienceWorks.
The day’s activities include a parade and interactive performance with JenUwin, “the musical bubbling unicorn with moxie,” performances from local musicians and groups, and many bubble-themed activities.
“Don’t miss this exciting 15th Birthday Celebration and let us share with you what we have coming up in 2018. ScienceWorks will be dressed in purple for the big day,” says Ann Dowdy, Executive Director.
Founded in 2002 as a private response to a crisis in public science education, ScienceWorks is committed “to inspire wonder and stimulate creative exploration through fun interactive science and the arts.” Since opening, ScienceWorks has served over 600,000 visitors and 100,000 school children with a nine county reach throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. The Museum has 1,500 Member families from all over the region, and enjoys a strong, positive relationship with many school systems, educational organizations, nonprofits, community business partners, and is much beloved by the Rogue Valley community.
ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum is a non-profit educational science center that has been serving the Rogue Valley region since 2002.
