The Honorary Life Member award for 2022 was presented to Bunny Lewis.
The Honorary Life Member award recognizes an individual who has given above and beyond to the Ashland Chamber of Commerce through their personal contributions to the organization and its mission. Former recipients include Cindy Bernard, Jac Nickels, Dennis Slattery, Allen Drescher, John Karns, Meiwen Richards and Bob Rasmussen among many others.
Bunny and her deceased husband, Graham, moved to Ashland in 1991, purchased a bed and breakfast, Edinburgh Lodge, and immediately got involved with the Chamber. Bunny was a regular attendee of Greeters and volunteered for numerous events. She never missed a Chamber Annual Dinner or social function of any kind as she and Graham both loved people and making friends – which they certainly did!
Early on she was an active member of Soroptimist of Ashland and then got very involved with a local PEO Chapter. That commitment lasts to this day and has deeply enriched her life with a huge circle of friends. As time went on, she continued to volunteer and step in at every opportunity to help the Chamber at events and programs. You could always count on her to do what she said she would do and follow through. Due to this work commitment, she was, of course, asked to Chair a committee and she said yes to chairing the 4th of July Committee.
Having sold their initial business, she started her own business, Juice Plus, which has grown and become quite successful through the years. Always concerned with health and wellness as a former nurse, it makes sense this was her chosen field of work and business.
