2017 Children's Halloween Celebration - Tuesday, October 31st 2017

Join us for the annual Children's Halloween Celebration,
Tuesday, October 31st -

There are activities for the whole family both BEFORE and AFTER the parade: 

BEFORE the parade from 3:00 - 3:30pm, Halloween Fun – at the Ashland Public Library (410 Siskiyou Blvd.) featuring local musicians, Tish McFadden and Brian Freeman. Sponsored by Friends of the Ashland Public Library.

Entertainment by the Ashland Middle School Jazz Band at the Parade Lineup area, Samba Like It Hot  (leading the Parade), the Ashland High School Drumline and Ashland Danceworks - Thriller Performance.  

  • The Parade Procession begins at 3:45pm at the Ashland Public Library proceeding down East Main Street to the Plaza with Samba Like it Hot leading the way. The Ashland High School Drumline will follow behind the procession. 
The Ashland Middle School Jazz Band will perform leading up to the beginning of the Parade Procession at the beginning of the parade, outside of Hither Restaurant. 
 
o Take part in the Parade Procession by marching down East Main Street

o PARADE LINEUP INSTRUCTIONS:
 
Families and Children will lead the Children’s Halloween Parade following Samba Like It Hot. We ask the adults without children to please follow behind them.    
 
Before the Parade Begins:
*Families & Children: Please line up on 3rd Street between East Main and Lithia Way before the beginning of the parade.
 
*Adults without children & other participants:  Please line up on Siskiyou Blvd. in front of the Ashland Public Library before the beginning of the parade.

The Ashland High School Drumline will end the parade procession 
 
Following the Parade:
  • Trick-or-Treating at downtown merchants, Thriller Performance by Ashland Danceworks, Face Painting  at Wells Fargo Bank by Brooke Sharp, a Photo Booth & Treats at the Ashland Chamber, make Halloween Crafts at Paddington Station, partake in Spooky Science with ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum on Oak Street, and visit the Ashlandia Witch Dance Party at TreeHouse Books
The parade and our event festivities will go on RAIN OR SHINE. Unfortunately, we do not have any contingencies to offer for inclement weather. We are certainly hoping for a great afternoon and no rain. Please dress according to the weather, temperature and forecast.

2017MonsterDashWebLogoHalloween Weekend: Kickoff Halloween festivities by attending the Ashland Schools Foundation Monster Ball Pasta Party on Friday, October 27th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Historic Ashland Armory (costume contest & kid’s activities), then run in the 9th annual Monster Dash Run for Education on Saturday, October 28th. Race Day registration, packet pickup, and vendors open on race-day at 8:00am in Lithia Park. The 10K Run begins early at 8:30am, followed by the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk at 10:00am, and the 5K Run/Walk at 10:45am. For more information and to register online, visit www.ashlandmonsterdash.com.
