Rogue Valley Farm to School’s summer fundraiser, “Turnip the Beet,” is a party you won’t want to miss! Sponsored by Fry Family Farm and The Brothers Reed and features the local Ashland band, The Brothers Reed.
The Brothers Reed will leave you thoroughly entertained with their comedic brotherly banter, impeccable harmonic expression, and widely varying influences. The duo incorporates harmonica and percussion into their live performances, soothing your soul with familiar yet original songs. Whether finger-picking their way through a lamentable ballad or bringing you around full-speed with a barn-burning bluegrass number, The Brothers Reed are masters of their craft.
The event takes place at Fry Family Farm, 2184 Ross Ln. Medford on June 25th. Wood-fired pizza, fresh salads, and local libations will be available for purchase, along with tickets to a two-part rousing raffle filled with thousands of dollars of prizes graciously donated by local businesses. Tickets are $35 for adults available on Eventbrite, and kids enter free. Turnip the Beet is a family-friendly event, featuring kids' activities at no additional cost. Gates open at 4 pm with the opening band, and The Brothers Reed starts at 6 pm. Come early to grab a place on the lawn and enjoy the festivities, friendship, food, and music.
Rogue Valley Farm to School is a local nonprofit organization that creates healthy and flourishing communities. We partner with schools and farmers across the Rogue Valley to incorporate nutritious foods into school meals and bring hands-on gardening and nutrition education to elementary school students. We believe every child deserves access to fresh, healthy food.
