After a brief two year break and the launch of a new website, The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program is thrilled to announce that it will be offering grant support this year. Ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, visual artists and arts educators in Southern Oregon are encouraged to apply beginning Friday, July 1.
“The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program was a concept that developed from wanting to assist. I was wondering how we could support local artists who have to hold several jobs in order to live, while still finding time to create art. It’s a small way to help them manage a very difficult life path and we have helped artists with everything from buying supplies, to upgrading their studios, and even paying their rent while creating some sort of a special project,” explains Lloyd Matthew Haines, Founder of The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program.
With only two weeks left until the application becomes available, visual artists and arts educators should begin thinking about projects that might require financial assistance. Applications will open on Friday, July 1, and close on Tuesday, August 30. Grant Awards will be announced at the beginning of November, 2022.
