Jessica Vineyard founded the Southern Oregon Skywatchers astronomy club in 1993 and was president for five years. She was co-host of the JPR radio show, The Milky Way Starlight Theater, for several years, and wrote a monthly column called "What's Up?" for the Ashland Gazette. She has presented at the Marine Biology Institute in Coos Bay for Women in Science, taught astronomy at summer camps, presented at the Oregon Star Party hosted by the Rose City Astronomers, and taught OLLI classes.
Jessica Vineyard, aka Ms Galaxy, provides engaging astronomy talks to the community of Southern Oregon and beyond. She shares the wonders of the night sky, from constellations and globular clusters to nebulae and distant galaxies, for a wide variety of events, including library talks, weddings, summer camps, retiree events, private parties, and more.

Ms Galaxy’s infectious enthusiasm and expansive knowledge of the cosmos make learning astronomy fun, easy, and entertaining. She brings her telescopes and laser pointer for nighttime events so her audiences can see for themselves the marvels of the cosmos. Her daytime presentations, whether using physical activities or PowerPoint, are always very well received.

Whatever the audience and venue, Ms Galaxy’s enthusiasm, passion, and love of astronomy shine through in every presentation and event, ensuring that her audiences are engaged and entertained throughout.
