Just opened by Allison Hamik, drawing on her experience in establishing coffee shops, the business illustrates her own moxie, a perfect old-fashioned word for determination and force of character. From the very first day, the place has been filled with neighbors enjoying the good vibes of the place. In addition to serving coffee drinks, fresh baked goods, and hand-made sandwiches, a small market for essential groceries is being added to help avoid extra trips downtown. We residents are excited and grateful that Moxie is now open and Allison is already learning the names of growing regulars."

They’ve started with the most important thing first: high quality, delicious, carefully made espresso-based drinks and non-coffee alternatives. I’m a fan of both espresso lattes and Chai Tea lattes. Moxie has them both, brewed to perfection. The topper is that they have a great selection of accompanying good eats, whether pastries (including vegan) or light breakfast or lunch offerings. Moxie Cafe + Market is a unique concept with a fresh vibe located at the top of North Mountain Avenue in Ashland. We are both a coffee shop and an upscale convenience market. Our cafe and market concept can all be enjoyed on site or to go.

We're happy to open a bottle of wine to be enjoyed on the patio or heat your selection from the market if you'd like to stay and enjoy it. On your way to work, stop in for a coffee and breakfast sandwich and add a chicken salad or flatbread to go for lunch. We have a delicious menu of local baked goods, light snacks and heartier options fitting for all times of the day.

Our market is growing with several choices of alcoholic beverages, as well as a variety of other beverages, food and snacks. We've created Moxie to be a welcoming space for our community to gather and connect. We have a spacious patio surrounded by beautiful views. We are here for the neighbors at Mountain Meadows, Kestrel Park, North Mountain Park area and anyone else looking to enjoy the beauty of Ashland outside of the downtown area.
