Executive Director Val Rogers volunteers on the fundraising committee of Southern Oregon Land Conservancy.

"Fabulous! I had tears thinking of how our world could be if we all listened to or sang each other's folk music. The band and the dancers topped off the whole concert. You all generated so much energy it's a wonder the building didn't levitate."

"I was entertained, moved, educated, impressed, and inspired to dance all evening long! "

“Yesterday morning, my son woke up scared from a bad dream, ---a few minutes later I heard his voice thru the house singing one of his Choristers' songs! My heart swelled! So, the songs are still within him!”

Our mission is building community and cultural awareness through world music - performance, education, and participation. We bring the world closer to home by producing the Ashland World Music Festival annually on the third weekend in May in partnership with the Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission. The event includes a full day of FREE world music concerts in Lithia Park, plus activities such as storytelling, participatory dances & workshops, kids activities and more. We sponsor the Rogue World Ensemble, an adult community choir that performs choral &  dance programs featuring different cultural traditions of the world. And we teach world music to children in Rogue Valley elementary schools through our Choristers program. We also host additional participatory community music/dance parties with a cultural focus throughout the year as well.
