A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1988, the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon provides exceptional performance experiences and training under the leadership of professional conductors and music coaches and fosters a lifelong appreciation of classical music and the arts.

The YSSO includes Youth Strings, Youth Orchestra and Youth Symphony. This season features three multi-performance Concert Series, a Chamber Music Series, the YSSO Concerto Competition and Community Outreach Concerts. More than 160 accomplished musicians (age 6-23) from throughout the region are participating in the YSSO this season.
