Its more than just fun to see film cameras roll. The film, TV, and media industry brings in a lot of money. Over $1.8 million was spent locally in just the last several years by outside film productions, and the local industry continually generates considerable economic activity.

Southern Oregon Film and Media (SOFaM) is working to keep that money rolling in.

SOFaM is a trade association and networking group for qualified professionals working in the film, TV, and media industry in the Southern Oregon region. Our website and directory provide local businesses with contact information and links to crew, companies and related businesses for their media production needs. In addition, SOFaM markets the region's diverse locations, film-friendly atmosphere, and strong resources to outside filmmakers - producers, directors, production companies - as a place for their next production.

Memberships are available to Individuals and Companies that perform work in the media industry. We also offer Associated Business memberships to businesses that wish to market their goods and services to local SOFaM members and visiting members of the media industry.

SOFaM maintains an active schedule of meetings and special events, including equipment demos, seminars from industry professionals, and social networking opportunities. Our regularly scheduled meetings and events occur on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
