The *Kiwanis Club of Ashland *has been serving young people in our community since 1947. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children and young people around the greater Ashland area and throughout the world. Here in Ashland, we support community and educational programs for children through high school.
 
Kiwanis helps support many programs in Ashland, including AHS Key Club, Girl and Boy Scouts, student scholarships, youth baseball and football, Lithia Springs school, and Science Works exhibits. We aid the physically and mentally handicapped athletes at Special Olympics, we promote literacy by tutoring and reading in schools, and we support environmental education of youth at North Mountain Park’s Nature Center.

We raise funds for these endeavors with our US holidays flag placement program.
 
For three years we have co-sponsored the Monster Dash Halloween fun run and raised nearly $50,000 for the Ashland Schools Foundation to support its numerous projects.
