“The patio at Thai Pepper, garlanded with pink and white impatiens and cascading ivy, is an oasis next to bubbling Lithia Creek, and the cooking bursts with sprightly flavors.” – Bon Appetit

“I'm extremely sensitive to gluten, and usually eating out is a nightmare where I'm promised something is gluten free, and then I'm up all night facing the consequences. First off, their dinner menu had stars next to the items that were gluten free, or could be made gluten free for an extra $1 (very reasonable.) The lunch menu also had plenty of gluten-free options, and the waitress was very knowledgeable.

When the food arrived, it was fresh, authentic and delicious! It was clearly prepared with care, and I felt confident that the gluten free food was prepared separately. I didn't have any reaction at all, a first for me eating out.” – Laura F. Ashland, OR

“The food, as always, was perfect.  I had the usual appetizers (all of them are delicious), but the two specials were really something.  The Curry Seafood was a mix of shrimp, mussels, clams, octopus, and white fish in a curry sauce.  So good!  The Salmon was done to perfection with baby bok choy and a sauce that was beyond definition.” – VB L. San Mateo, CA

“We always include Thai Pepper in our "must-do's" when visiting Ashland. We've never been disappointed--the food is fresh and prepared with lots of flavor and skill. I treated myself to a first-time experience of eating/savoring halibut cheeks--something I'd only heard of on cooking programs. What a great choice--served with a few vegetables and a vibrant ginger/soy/chili sauce. We shared a ginger Crème brûlée for dessert. Texture was silky smooth, flavored with a perfectly balanced subtle bite of ginger, and topped with the classic brûlée crunch. It was superb. Thai Pepper is still at the top of our “Ashland list.” ” Karen T. Oroville, CA

After three years as the restaurant’s Chef, Billy Harto purchased Thai Pepper in 1991. The menu was expanded, introducing modern Thai and Indonesian cuisine. In 2007 the restaurant added a street level bar with a complete menu service, focusing more on a tapas style experience.

We believe in preparing our cuisine with the best available ingredients. We don’t use any MSG, GMO, and always use the freshest ingredients can get. Our menu includes many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Thai Pepper is a family owned and operated restaurant committed to quality cuisine, service and providing you with an excellent overall dining experience.
