Researching Irish Records
Dia duit! Anyone with an interest in Irish family history will not want to miss “Researching Irish Records,” Tuesday, June 4 at the Jackson County Genealogy Library. Jennifer Bryan, RVGS Member and Genealogical Society of Siskiyou County Board Member, has a personal interest in Irish family history; her direct ancestor emigrated from Ireland in 1848. After 15 years of research state-side, she recently took a trip to Ireland. At the June class Jennifer will share what she learned, including the importance of Irish name origins, surnames, and naming patterns. She’ll also address Irish records, including those available online.
$20/non-Members; $10/RVGS Members. 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4. Jackson County Genealogy Library, 3405 S. Pacific Hwy, Medford. To register call 541-512-2340, stop by the Library, or email reception.JCGL@gmail.com
(Dia Duit, an Irish greeting, literally “May god be with you.”)
