JCLS Presents “Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils” Program with Bugs-R-Us Educational Services
Jackson County, Oregon (June 1, 2018) – John Jackson of Bugs-R-Us Educational Services will present “Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils”, a science and nature program for youth in keeping with the “Libraries Rock” summer reading theme. These free programs are sponsored by the Kenneth A. and Lucille D. Hulburt Family Trust and are for kids of all ages.
Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils – Learn about rocks and see cool specimens with John Jackson of Bugs-R-Us Educational Services. In this free program, you'll learn about different types of rocks and minerals, how fossils are formed, and discover how we use minerals in everyday life, such as in oils, plastics, salt, and more! John will also highlight Oregon's geology. All participants will receive a free rock sample to add to or start their own rock collection.
