See the Rogue Valley as it was a Century ago!

The Rogue Valley Genealogical Society is pleased to announce that Ben Truwe, SOHS Trustee, local Historian, and curator of the massive “Southern Oregon History, Revised” website - “considered to be one of the best local history websites in the country” - is the Society’s guest speaker at their April 17 public program.

Ben will present the film “Grace Visits the Rogue River Valley,” and reveal the stories behind it. Originally produced in 1914 to promote Southern Oregon at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, this 44-minute silent film was hailed as “a real hit,” and provides us with a glimpse into life in the Rogue Valley as it was nearly a century ago. Don’t miss this fun, free program! April 17, 1:30pm-3pm; Jackson County Genealogy Library, 3405 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. For more information call 541-512-2340, email, or stop by the Genealogy Library.
