Controlled Burn Thursday
Thursday, March 8, crews with the U.S. Forest Service Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest will conduct a controlled burn on the east side of the Ashland Watershed ½ mile north of Four Corners. Smoke may impact Catwalk, Marty’s and Lower Missing Link Trails.
Controlled burns under safe conditions reduce the risk of severe summer wildfires and protect our forests, water supply, economy, and community. Recently, AFR Partners published a blog on the benefits of pile burning.
