US Lacrosse First Stick Grant to APRC

Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission (APRC) has been awarded the US Lacrosse First Stick Grant. The grant will provide equipment valued at $1300 for boys and girls to learn the basic skills of Lacrosse. The grant will also supply 30 youth Lacrosse memberships and two parent/coach Lacrosse memberships.

In March, APRC will partner with the Lacrosse Team at Southern Oregon University (SOU) to offer a Youth Lacrosse Clinic. The FREE clinic will take place at the SOU stadium, March 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. Pre-registration is required – Register by calling APRC at 541.488.5340. Space is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

US Lacrosse supports communities by funding grants that help facilitate age-appropriate Lacrosse activities and training. They support the development of well-rounded athletes and leaders who perform in activities and sports beyond Lacrosse.
