Our Ancestors –Did they serve? Did they plow? Did they move?
We are pleased to announce our April 20 and 21 workshop and seminar presented by the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society at the Jackson County Library of Genealogy, located at 3405 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. “The Power of Google Earth,” featuring guest speakers Pamela and Richard Sayre, is not just for genealogists. You’ll learn about tools available to all of us in our genealogical search.
The April 20 workshop, featuring guest speaker Rick Sayre, is a two-hour live demonstration providing an overview of how to put the power of Google Earth to work, and offers a method to view your genealogy in a new way.
The April 21 seminar includes: Did He Serve? The Civil War: Rural Research; and Clues in Missouri Migration.
The Sayres are nationally known genealogy speakers and bring excitement to researching our ancestors with these new Google tools, military records, rural research challenges, and looking at resources in the “Show Me” state, Missouri. Missouri is a location that many of our ancestors would eventually flow through. Pam is a 5th generation Missourian and will help us with challenges to those records.
Registration begins January 15. We urge you to reserve your spot early as space is limited! Make your checks payable to the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society and mail your check to the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society, 3405 S. Pacific Hwy, Medford, OR 97501.
