SoHumane is celebrating the Saving Train on Giving Tuesday, November 28th

MEDFORD, Ore. -- This November 28th the Southern Oregon Humane Society is celebrating the Saving Train program. Giving Tuesday promotes charitable giving and community service during the holiday season. Adopters, volunteers, community members and businesses have made it possible for SoHumane to save lives and find new families for over 1300 homeless dogs and cats so far this year.

Please support SoHumane by:

Following SoHumane on Facebook and social media.  Share rescued pet photos, memories and stories using the hashtags #SAVINGTRAIN #givingtuesday and #sohumane.
Voting for the two SoHumane stories entered in the #MyGivingStory contest for Giving
Tuesday this year!  You can vote online every day through November 30th for the animals. It's easy, and SoHumane could win a grant to care for the dogs and cats.  Please vote for homeless dogs and cats and ask your friends to join you in promoting the animals who need your help.  Go to for links to Joy's video about senior dogs and Marcia's story about the SoHumane vet care team and the Saving Train.

Signing up to give your time by volunteering at SoHumane to walk, foster and love more homeless dogs and cats.  Contact Judi Hanstein, Volunteer Coordinator, at 541-779-3215 x 101 for more information on becoming a SoHumane volunteer.

Donating on or by November 28th to the Saving Train program online at or in person at the SoHumane adoption center on Table Rock Road in Medford.  In addition, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are matching up to $2 million of funds raised on November 28th on Facebook for U.S. nonprofits. Facebook is also waiving all fees for donations made through Facebook on Giving Tuesday.
