It’s Nesting Season – Welcome Wild Birds to your Yard
Ashland, Oregon (March 17, 2017) — It’s springtime and that means nesting season. Learn how to attract wild birds to your yard at a second free talk with Wild Bird Specialist, Laura Fleming. This additional Nesting Season program will be held at the Ashland Branch Library, 401 Siskiyou Boulevard, on Wednesday, April 5 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Fleming will discuss what makes up a good nest box, what birds will use a nest box in our area, and where to put them.
As the owner of the Wild Birds Unlimited store located in Medford, Laura Fleming loves to teach people how to develop their own wild bird habitats. She has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology and Management from Michigan State University. She has always been interested in and connected to the natural world and its wildlife and is currently living on 100 wooded acres on Antelope Creek in Eagle Point. There she has developed a wild bird habitat in her yard with landscaping, feeders, houses, birdbaths, and ponds. You can learn more about Fleming at medford.wbu.com
