Go Buggy at the Ashland Library!
Ashland, Oregon (March 13, 2017) - Join John Jackson and some of his insect friends as he shares with us the world of insects on Tuesday, March 28th from 3 – 4 p.m. at the Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Boulevard.
Children will learn about bug anatomy, bugs in the environment, what bugs eat, insect defenses, and camouflage. Kids will be invited to touch and explore live insects, including three species of stick insects, a tarantula, two species of cockroaches, a vinegaroon and blueberry beetles. Other live but non-touchable insects include Black Widow spiders, bark scorpions, orb weaver spiders, beetles, praying mantids, superworms, and more. Participants will also get the opportunity to taste some freeze-dried bugs!
