
The
3rd Annual Food & Wine Classic will be held Friday through Sunday, November 6th – 8th, 2009. We invite you to sip, sample and celebrate Southern Oregon’s bounty in Ashland. With lodging packages available for travelers near and far, the weekend will be full of fun culinary and wine experiences for all the senses.
The event will kick off with a Wine Reception at Ashland Springs Hotel featuring food & wine pairings from 5-7pm on Friday November 6th. Sponsored by Weisinger’s Winery.

Saturday and Sunday will offer workshops from 9:45 am – 11:30am.
The three workshops are:
Sushi Making @ Paddington Station-learn how to make your favorite Japanese dish! This workshop can hold 8 participants each day so come early!
Farm to Table with THRIVE @ Ashland Co-op Community Classroom- At this workshop explore the Farm to Table concept by using local cheeses to add flavor to your favorite fall treats. This workshop hosts 15 people each day.
Wine Education @ the Winchester Inn, Restaurant and Wine Bar- Have you ever wanted to pair a treat with a glass of wine and haven't known what to serve? Let the Winchester's own Sommelier, Drew Gibbs, give you expert ideas and advice. This workshop seats up for 14 per day.

The Chef Showdown excitement starts Saturday at the Historic Ashland Armory with eight local chefs competing using local ingredients. Round one will be from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm and round two from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Sunday will be the big day with the final four Chefs competing from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm and the FINAL TWO competing from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. In between the chef competitions on Saturday there will be an exciting new dessert competition featuring talented local dessert chefs.
Tickets for the event are:
$25 for the weekend per person. Includes the Wine Reception on Friday, admission to workshops and the Chef Showdown on Saturday and Sunday, souvenir glass and Food & Tasting Card.
$15 per day per person. Includes Workshops, Chef Showdown admission, souvenir glass and Food & Tasting Card.
$10 per person for only the Wine Reception on Friday night.
Or you can purchase your tickets at the Chamber office
through Friday afternoon and then at the door at the
Wine Reception or at the Historic Ashland Armory.
Tastes and glasses of wine will also be available for purchase at the event.
