Purchase online in advance of the Festival to save $5 per adult ticket OR bring TWO non-perishable food items with you to the door to save $5 off per adult ticket.  Items brought to the door during the Festival will be donated to the Ashland Emergency Food Bank.
 


The Festival is a four-day destination event as 12 local chefs compete for Top Chef honor using local produce and a secret key ingredient and challenge. Guests have fun learning and tasting at culinary workshops throughout the weekend. Sample and purchase with over 35 food artisans, restaurants, award winning wineries and breweries. The event begins with the Ultimate Top Chef Dinner on Thursday evening, November 2nd. On Friday, enjoy an afternoon wine tour, an evening kick-off event including our 2nd annual Mixology Competition, a NEW Celebrity Quick-Fire Cooking Challenge and samplings. On Saturday, witness our 2nd annual Junior Chef Competition at the Festival where local junior chefs compete for the Junior Chef title and a chance to shadow our Festival Judges. On Saturday and Sunday, you can view the Top Chef Competition while enjoying vendor samplings around the room.

Workshops require pre-registration and can’t be purchased at the door. Workshops will be held at a variety of locations as not all of the classes are at the Festival Headquarters.

Saturday Workshops:

2017 Junior Chef Competition 

  • Second annual:  Four teams of two students will be competing from local High School Culinary Programs - Ashland High School, South Medford High School, North Medford High School and Grants Pass High School. Junior Chefs will be given a secret ingredient or challenge to complete much like the Top Chef Competition. The winning team of the Junior Chef competition will have a chance to shadow our Festival Judges during the Top Chef Competition and will win a college scholarship.

We are also excited to announce that Chef Billy Buscher of Seven Feathers Casino Resort, the 2016 Iron Chef of Oregon and 2012 Top Chef, will be a celebrity Judge and mentor for this competition only.

For ticket holders who have a VIP Package, Premier Pass or tickets which include workshops, this will be included for workshop registration.

How to Take Instagram-Worthy Food Photos with Just Your Smart Phone with Judiaann Woo 

  • In this interactive workshop, you will learn the 3 essential skills for Instagram success: 1) Tips and tricks for taking better food photos. 2) How to edit your photos to bring out their maximum "wow" potential. 3) How to share your photos on Instagram so that they reach the right audiences.

    This workshop will also cover Instagram best practices, etiquette, and tips for growing your audience and reach. Come prepared to shoot and post.
     
    What to bring:
    - Smartphone preloaded with Instagram app
    - An Instagram profile page if you don't have one already
    - 5-6 photos on your camera roll of food that you've photographed 

    Instructor: Judiaann Woo is brand marketing consultant and content creator will a special fondness for food photography. The Oregonian named her one of Portland's 12 Must-Follow Instagram Accounts. You can find her @judiaann.

  • Grab your kitchen knives and come and learn from Portland’s Hippest Cook! Monika Reti, the author of Hipcook and owner of seven Hipcooks cooking class studios, joins us to share her passion and energy that all focus around a sharp knife. You will have fun learning important knife skills and maintenance, and leave the class with your kitchen knife, sharp as new! Monika’s teaching style is more party than work shop, and there will be delicious food to snack on while you learn. Top Chef Dinner​ (SOLD OUT)

Second annual: Honoring the history of our event, join us for the Ultimate Top Chef Dinner on Thursday, November 2nd - 5:30pm at Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites, our Festival Headquarters. Enjoy a five-course dinner and pre-dinner appetizers prepared by some of our amazingly talented past Top Chef Winners (including Neil Clooney of Smithfields Restaurant & Bar - Top Chef 2007 & 2008, Franco Console of Larks Restaurant - Top Chef 2009, David Georgeson of Common Block Brewing Co. - Top Chef 2011 (pre-dinner appetizer), Billy Buscher of Seven Feathers Casino Resort - Top Chef 2012, James Williams of Truffle Pig Craft Kitchen - Top Chef 2014 and Josh Dorcak of MÄS - Top Chef 2015 and 2016). Top Mixologist 2016, Blake Henry of Brickroom, will offer a pre-dinner cocktail sample. Each of dinner courses will be paired with a local wine. This is a dinner you won’t want to miss!
