"At the end of the day, I cannot put it any better than one of our very own librarians: “I always knew libraries were an essential service, but now I really understand how they are essential.” The role of libraries has not changed. Resilient communities need equitable access to reliable information, opportunities for enrichment, and networks of support. Filling that role has just become more challenging. But that challenge will continue to be met by the dedicated staff of Jackson County Library Services.
Our task, yours and mine, is to support them. In order to pivot and respond with creativity and urgency, libraries need funding that is flexible and immediate. The Jackson County Library Foundation is dedicated to providing that funding. We work hand-in-hand with Jackson County libraries to empower creative approaches to services that help us build resilient communities that meet challenges with confidence and compassion.
You make that possible.
Give to JCLF right now because you know that libraries represent the best of what we want for each other - equitable access to the resources we need to learn, connect, and grow. Give because libraries elevate the whole community. Give because this moment of transformation can be an opportunity for you to change the world for the better.
I am so proud of our libraries. They are an authentic expression of what makes living in Southern Oregon so rewarding. With all that 2020 has thrown at us as a community, we continue to reach out and lift each other up. Literacy is critical to our personal growth; libraries are critical to our community bond. I signed on to the Jackson County Library Foundation because, whatever the future has in store, I believe libraries must be part of it. Please join me.
Give today to invest in tomorrow.
President-Elect, Jackson County Library Foundation"
