Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley receives $25,000 from AllCare Health to Provide Summer Relief Programming for Working Families
AllCare Health is proud to support Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley in their mission
to provide quality youth programming this summer to kids in Southern Oregon

GRANTS PASS, OR – Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley is proud to announce that it has received a $25,000.00 grant from AllCare Health’s COVID-19 Resiliency Fund to provide critical summer youth programming for working families in Southern Oregon.
“With businesses reopening, it was critical we reopen and provide families a safe, positive, and affordable place for their kids while they return to work. The guidelines set by the State for youth summer programs have made it much more costly for us and have limited the number of youth we are able to serve. The funds from AllCare Health allow us to keep our weekly program costs low, continue to offer scholarships as needed, while still providing quality, education-based programs and mentorship kids need during this time. We have also been able to expand our program and are adding additional cohorts this week,” says Greg Roe, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley.
Following the Oregon Health Authority Guidelines for School-Aged Summer Day Camps, Boys & Girls Clubs in Grants Pass and Talent reopened their doors on Monday, June 15th for a Working Families Summer Relief Program. The State’s restrictions have changed the structure of their summer program, requiring stable cohorts of no more than ten youth remain together and do not mix with other cohorts throughout the week. Sites can accommodate multiple cohorts as long as a there is a minimum of 35 square feet per camper for indoor spaces.
In their set groups, Club Members spend time each day rotating through activities such as STEAM Club, health and wellness, physical fitness, play / rec time, art and more. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided at the Club. Wellness checks are required prior to check-in, along with enhanced safety and sanitizing protocols.
AllCare’s COVID-19 Resiliency Fund was created to support community-based organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley.
