The "Ashland Resource Center," or ARC, is the largest local social media and social network portal in southern Oregon. ARC is an interactive online platform and forum for people, businesses and organizations to communicate, make new friends and associates, exchange ideas and build projects locally.
The purpose of a resource center is the sharing of information about activities in our area and keeping a comprehensive inventory of local resources, people, projects, businesses and organizations.
Here's what you can do on your local portal and social network:
Share your favorite resources, information, photos, music and video with a growing community of friends and associates.
Submit your local event calendar listing and promote your event absolutely free.
Contribute interesting, newsworthy and informative blogs.
Invite your personal or organizational network to become members and create their own "MyPage" for their products, services or businesses at no charge.
Participate in resource groups and discussions.
ARC runs a small news/media organization that emphasizes sustainability and community values feature user-generated content (e.g. blogs, videos, photos, music, events) selected from the Internet. This local resource center is a model for other communities and we're planning to launch other resource centers regionally and globally.
