Ashland Zen Center is the only Zen Buddhist temple in the Rogue Valley. Located at 740 Tolman Creek Road in Ashland, we are a nonprofit organization, maintained and supported entirely through donations and efforts of volunteers. Ashland Zen Center has served as a refuge of peace for the community since 1993. Emphasizing the practical application of the Buddha’s teachings in our everyday lives, Ashland Zen Center offers daily meditation and services, classes, and spiritual support by a clergy of monks trained in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. We promote harmony in the community through the teachings of interdependence of all things and the inherent Buddha nature of all beings. In the past couple of years, Ashland Zen Center has expanded, adding 5,000 square feet of living space for residential practice with a large kitchen and dining hall to meet the needs of longer meditation retreats onsite which occur throughout the year. Each summer we offer a children’s day camp and a camping program for young teens. Our facility also offers a variety of 30 day rental options available year round to the public with details on our website.
